250 postal cyanotype kits distributed across two communities just outside Bristol during Covid lockdown. Including full equipment, instructions, website and videos to guide participants through the project to contribute to PRESS + PRINT:
1 - PRESSED PLANTS learning to identify, safely collect and press plants on daily walks
2 - CYANOTYPES arranging their pressed specimens and creating 'sunshine' cyanotype prints in their homes
3 - SCANNING cyanotypes and sending them to the artist ready to be compilled and turned into the permanent artworks for the site (vitreous enamel railings and furniture featuring the cyanotype prints)
4 - EXHIBITION displaying cyanotype artworks in their home windows (with accompanying map to enable socially distanced walks to view all the artworks)
5 - MUSEUM HERBARIUM sending their pressed plants to Bristol Museum ready to be accessioned into their permanent collection as a Community Herbarium documenting the social and natural history of the area.
